The Good Stuff
 
* Goats Milk: natural emollient that helps balance the skins natural pH and promotes natural exfoliation of dry skin. Goats milk is high in protein, triglycerides, Vitamin A, B6, B12 and E making it an excellent natural moisturizer that helps hydrate and nourish skin. It leaves the skin feeling silky smooth with a hydrated appearance. An effective and softening skin cleanser. Milk proteins smooth, firm and soften the skin. Milk is high in hydrophilic (water) and lipophilic (fat) factors and has beneficial vitamins and sugars. It has excellent nutritive value, is packed with proteins, beneficial fats, vitamins, amino acids and calcium. It is easily absorbed into the skin. Milk has a long standing in beauty history. Many of the historic beauties testified to milks effectiveness with their faithful use of milk in their beauty regime. Cleopatra took aromatic milk baths, Emperor Nero's wife Poppea bathed in milk and even Marie Antoinette used buttermilk to prevent wrinkles.
 
* Honey: the sweet material taken from the nectar of flowers and manufactured by bees. It is high in vitamin C and promotes collagen formation in the skin. It is a natural humectant (drawing in moisture) antibacterial & antimicrobial. It has been used since Egyptian times for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Honey is full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes. Has an emollient property, is soothing and humectant. Emollients make the skin feel softer and smoother, reduce rough feeling, cracking and irritation. Honey is cleansing, a natural anti oxidant and anti-inflammatory. Bacteria cannot live in honey demonstrating its natural preservative properties. Scientific research states honey will actually draw life sustaining water from the bacterial cells. Another interesting fact is honey is the only natural edible substance that has no shelf life. Wow.
 
* Coconut Oil- Great for dry, itchy and sensitive skin, it doesn't clog pores and absorbs readily into the skin.
 
* Palm Oil- Softening to the skin and makes an excellent, fluffy lather.
 
* Castor Oil- Rich in fatty acids, it soothes and lubricates the skin. Acting as a humectant, it attracts moisture to the skin.
 
* Safflower Oil- With a very high percentage of linoleic acid, it helps to moisturize, nourish and restructure the skin.
 
* Sunflower Oil- rich in Vitamin E that helps moisturize and regenerate healthy skin
 
* Sweet Almond Oil- light, moisturizing, and penetrates easily
 
* Olive Oil- important historic oil used extensively in ancient times. Highly nutritive and stable, it contains protein, minerals and vitamins. It has superior penetrating power. It is a yellow or greenish. Has acidic and antioxidant values. They soften the skin, have superior moisturizing effect on the upper layer of the skin and reduce scars.
 
* Glycerin- it is a humectant that draws moisture to itself; therefore, it is believed that glycerin helps the skin remain moisturized by drawing moisture to it. It is the natural product of the saponifaction process of handmade soap
 
* Sorbitol- a sweet liquid that is added to the soap for its great moisturizing properties and is made from berries.
 
* Sorbitan Oleate- a natural emulsifier, which is used to help the mixture of ingredients bond together.
 
* Soy- made from soybeans, this is a great skin conditioner. 
 
* Organic Virgin Coconut oil: has been found to be the best source of monolaurin, a well known antiseptic substance found in breast milk, natural antifungal, moisturizer & protectant
 
* Shea Butter/ Oil: it protects the skin against weather, sun, elasticity and aging. It is a well-known anti-inflammatory to assist cutaneous dryness, dermatitis and dermatoses, eczema, solar erythema and burns. It is a well known in helping moisturize while providing a silky protective barrier to all skin types.
 
* Vitamin E: anti-oxidant, protecting and natural preservative
 
* Aloe: improves hydration is soothing and healing to all skin types. Naturally moisturizing, aloe vera also contains the "youth mineral" potassium. Has renowned healing properties, anti-inflammatory and can soothe the skin and help heal cuts, grazes, burns and insect bites. In 1500 BC the Egyptian Ebers Papyrus recommended aloe for skin care. The Greeks, Chinese, Roman and Arab herbalist recommended aloe for burns and rashes.
 
* Calendula: most recognized for its ability to help heal wounds and abrasions
 
* Allantoin is thought to have the ability to help heal wounds, sores and stimulate growth of healthy tissue. It is a skin softener and anti-irritant
 
* Essential Oils- distilled oils from herbs, flowers & other botanicals that are used for natural fragrance
